Do we need to know “why” before we obey a commandment?

Nephi made another set of plates without knowing why. Adam obediently offered animal sacrifices after he was sent out of the Garden of Eden. After many days, an angel asked him why he obeyed. Adam replied, “I know not, save the Lord commanded me.” Only after his obedience was Adam taught why the commandment had been given (see Moses 5:4–7). What commandments are you asked to obey without understanding why? How might your obedience when you “know not” bless you?
