“He Shall See the Travail of His Soul”

Brant Gardner

The two individuals referenced in this verse are the Most High God and Jesus, and God the Most High is the one who “shall see the travail” of Jesus’s soul. The important phrase is “and shall be satisfied.” The point of this verse is that the Most High God will accept Jesus’s atoning sacrifice and that it will become possible for the sins of the world to be borne away.
