Thus saith the Lord:
“In an acceptable time
_have I heard thee,
_O isles of the sea,
_and in a day of salvation have I helped thee;
_and I will preserve thee,
_and give thee my servant
_for a covenant of the people,
_to establish the earth,
_to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;“That thou mayest say to the prisoners: Go forth;
_to them that sit in darkness: [i]2249[/i] Show yourselves.“They shall feed in the ways,
_and their pastures shall be in all high places.“They shall not hunger nor thirst,
_neither shall the heat nor the sun smite them;
_for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them,
_even by the springs of water shall he guide them.“And I will make all my mountains a way,
_and my highways shall be exalted.”
